Rangers do not need to pay to get rid of Goodrow, he is buyout friendly.

Oooof Nichusin is a nice player but has some red flags. Also this just creates holes in the NYR lineup plus the value is not even close to equal.

If a team really wants Goodrow they will need to offer something. If NYR gets no offers they can just buy him out because his contract is extremely buyout friendly after this season.
No need for NYR to trade him for nothing.

Don't like the Habs trade for San Jose, moving down 10 spots should cost more than a late 3rd next year and Barron who at this point is a project and one of the most traded people on this site</div></div>
well yeah, lol he wants Kakko for free. Goodrow will be bought out in offseason, no need to give away useful players to help offload Goodrow.

Wait, why would NYR trade Cuylle? Not saying he's a star but if its to rid them of Goodrow they dont need to. Goodrow is very buyout friendly after this season, look it up.

Price checking
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hckeydude123</b></div><div>Kaliyev+4th?
Kaliyev career stats: 188gp 77points
Kakko career stats: 294gp 117points.
106gp difference between them and 40points. Very similar players but Kakko has a higher ceiling which I believe a 4th round pick maybe a 3rd is fair enough to cover.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NYR1983</b></div><div>So fun idea for you and some fans may agree on a price that you’re comfortable paying but the issue is Drury doesn’t want/need to move Kakko. He’s being patient like he was with Laf. Kakko is going through the hottest stretch of his career as we speak. Now funny how fan bases said trade Laf for scraps and hope for the best since Laf was already chopped liver and written off yet here he is scoring 5v5 better than aho, Hughes, McJesus, Tkachuk, petterson, Kaprizov, Robertson amongst others. Most players that get pp1 time collect 1/3 of their points on the PP so now if you put Laf on the PP1 he would be putting up 85-95 points while scoring 40-45 goals. Now the hot take crowd has turned to Kakko who is still trending better than guys like Nichushkin was. Kakko won’t be moved unless a GM values him more than drury and I can guarantee that’s not the case</div></div>
unless Kakko wants out as he's getting 10-12 min a night

As a NYR fan it would be nice and absolutely refreshing to consider trading someone over 23 for once

As been previously said by Rags21 many many many many times on this website, Goodrow is an extremely easy and cost effective buyout this offseason. NYR dont need to trade anything extra to get rid of him

For sure! Ken Holland/Bill Guerin would probably offer 2 1sts!

Ugh terrible trade for Rangers. Zetterland is older, gets top line minutes on a very bad team, still scores at a lower 5v5 rate and gets a lot of his points on the pp, and he would get very little time on in NY.
Kunin might be one of the worst players in the NHL,

He's so much more valuable now to NYR than anything they would get in a trade

Highly doubt it happens in real life but this would be something I'd legit consider if it did</div></div>

Its a lot more fun and better when NYR goes younger instead of older. This is a yucky trade, Wheeler couldnt skate before he hurt his leg so no to that. Too much for Lindgren who seems overrated after each passing day they are winning without him and Fox is (IRONICALLY?) playing his best hockey of season as well.
I think Schneider will get around 2.5-2.75
