I think MTL LOVES Danault and wants to resign him. At least Canadiens fans do, as they should; he is very good. Having said that, I would do this in a heartbeat from a Leafs perspective, with the condition that they get to discuss extensions beforehand with at least one of them, because I don't think it's overly smart to trade 3 guys with control for two guys who could walk at the end of the year. That could be detrimental. So with that condition, I think the Leafs would do this, don't know about MTL though... You'd need a Habs fan perspective.

Montreal declines. Value isn't there. Third line forwards and 4-6 defenceman, and 2 picks that aren't even in this deep draft would not be considered enough. If Montreal traded each player separately they would accumulate more collectively then this. This is a perfect example of how quantity does not make up for quality.
