Description
The Wings score Lafreniere and Stevie Y decides to go all in and tries to turn the Wings around quicker, offersheeted Domi to fill the 2C spot and demoted Abdelkader cause I just can't stand him.. Lol
Some of the kids are left in Grand Rapids to develop for another season, they're the first to be recalled when injuries happen. About 14 million is expiring the following summer to resign rfa's like Hronek with and hopefully some of the prospects like Veleno will be cheap replacements for the expiring guys by then.
So what say you CapFriendly folk, are moves like these something Yzerman should be doing this summer if they land the 1st overall pick or not?
Idk, just can't see this being a very bad team being tolerated much longer in the motor city, gotta pull out of the rebuild at some point.
Idk people, I'm bored and want hockey back so this is what I did, rip into it but be kind.. 😃

That’s a lot of years for Fabbri... and not sure you get Krug for that price.

What would it cost to just trade for Domi’s rights? For DET it’d be tough to give up a 1st round pick since this is likely still not a playoff team, though vastly improved. That 1st could be valuable.

Thanks for the input.

Yeah I'm just a big Fabbri fan, think he was a good buy low opportunity that many teams should of made a move for and giving him term might be worth it instead of going through the contract haggling every few years, kind of like the Tanev signing but with a good player not a plug, that's my thinking anyway.. Lol
As for Krug that's a good raise for him, think anymore money is too much but that's just my opinion.

Yeah that's true, think Domi would likely still cost a 1st though. I do understand that the pick could be valuable but a long term extended 2C that fits in with the Wings age range of their core has value too and that 2021 1st might take awhile to contribute and its just more time wasted, there's risk though for sure.

I'm not holding my breath they try to sign Krug or lehner. Depending on the draft spot that 2nd c is going to be a need. Byfield or stutzle fills the hole but if it's laf I don't mind using picks to try and find a solution.

Bruins are likely OK with signing Krug to that term/number (and are contending) so I think he stays w/ Boston or Wings need more $$$ in the pot.
