Description
So my idea was simple improve the Leafs defense. I think I have accomplished that.

First I traded for Montour giving Kerfoot and Dermott. Montour could fit well with the leafs and he may be an excellent partner for Rielly. Second I traded Ottawa Johnson and Bracco for Nicholas Paul. I believe he would do well with the leafs and develop into an excellent 3c with us. Finally I traded LA Kings a 4th pick for Roy. May be an over-payment but with his current play and that cap price he may work out perfectly for us. Also brought in a KHL goalie (Alexei Krasikov) who is young and could potentially be a suitable replacement for Anderson. So the leafs sign him and place him with the Marlies for a year to see what he's got and maybe allow him to have some NHL games. Also since Barbonov may become a leaf I added him in. Him playing with Mikeyv could be awsome especially if he can replicate what he did in the WC.

Let me know what u think. This could potentially work as not only is the defense improved. But the offense can still produce and we got a goaltender of the future that wont cost us 8 million.

LA would take the 4th they dont need Roy. He can be replaced and the pick they receive is already more than what he is worth. As for the Ottawa trade its fine Johnsson has proven to be injury prone and with Kerfoot gone Paul can fit in especially with Byfield potentially getting drafted. As for Bracco could help Ottawa's pp finally get past 10%

I know the montour trade is an overpayment but knowing buffalo fans if I say kerfoot for him they will say hes worth more. I could make it where they give a higher pick but they keep trading most of their picks away thinking they can make the playoffs. As for the LA trade may just ditch it and bring liligren up. He can play with Muzzin. Since Muzzin can be an excellent mentor for young defenseman. He did it with walker so maybe he can help liligren out and make him into a good RD.
