Well how much should he cost? Just because he had a down year won't mean they shortsell him. Top 6 guys should get a top6 worthy return. I'd remove the 3rd, but I don't think CBJ fans would allow much less.

I really dont think its a good idea for San Jose to be trading for another long term expensive 30+ player. Lehner will want a little more, probably 6-6.5M. If there is a CBO this summer there will be a lot of players that had bad contracts but are still NHL caliber hitting the market.

Lehner will easily command 7 x 6.5 or possibly 7 x 7 he'll get more AAV he'll be highly sought out and vastly over-paid. Other then that nice job.

I think teams are very hesitant to give 7 years to goalies in particular when the majority of those years will be when the goalie is over 30.
