Arbitration doesn't mean an automatic raise though. They look at comps to see what he's worth on a 1-year deal, and after the season he just had, I doubt he gets more than his Qualifying Offer of $3M.

In the scenario above he didn't file for arbitration (he has a 2-year deal) so obviously he negotiated a small raise. I think it's more than he's worth, but probably not far off.

Girgs is not a center and I don't think he gets a raise in a flat cap world. And I'm not high on Aaron Dell... but otherwise this looks pretty decent.

You're not getting what amounts to a late 1st for Puljujarvi and Benning Detroit #32 pick is pretty much a late 1st round pick. Neither have that kind of value.
