Seem like the Sharks would be giving up more futures and for what? The bottom six forwards aren' that good and even the defence which is 33m cap hit is just average to good.

Maybe I see things thru teal colored glasses but the team as a whole struggled this season. A lot of change, coaching change, captain change, top six change. I don’t see this team underachieving again. They started to play much better under Boughner and Supported the goalies more, played with an edge. Major injuries to Karlsson, Hertl, Couture also hurt things. People will say what they know based on this season but I know this team will bounceback and make the playoffs next year. Burns and Karlsson know their time is getting shorter, they will make a big push to see that next year is a big year for both of them.

I'd typically agree, but Huberdeau would instantly become your top forward and help provide a dangerous scoring threat. I'm not sure a deal could be done with Ryan Merkley, but if it could I'd do it. Plus I can't see this team being this bad next year. I think there was a lot of bad luck with injuries.

And the coaching and captain change didn’t help. Pavelski was HUGE for this team. Couture has the experience now, he’s ready to go to the next level. Merkley is a little expendable now that Pasichnuk has been signed so that is a possibility.

I definitely think so, I hope Karlsson can find some semblance of himself (maybe finally getting healthy) in terms of getting back to playing better defensively because his offensive numbers still extrapolated to 55-60 points over a full season.
