I don’t understand what in the world Bobby Orr has done to become the consensus greatest defenseman of all time. Just because he got the most hype doesn’t mean he was the best. If you watched him play, you’ll notice he was a pure offensive defenseman who couldn’t actually defend away from the puck. He was a turnover machine as he always coughed up the puck gifting the opposition a breakaway or odd man rush. His positional play was terrible as he always lost his man allowing him to get free for a scoring chance. Whenever he was on the ice, his team would give up a ton of shots. The only reason why he stood out was because he scored a lot of points, the majority of them coming on the powerplay. Chris Chelios was a better defenseman than him.

Zero chance of Sweeney giving Torey Krug $8 million per. At best if Krug stays in Boston he'll get 6 x 6.75 at the very most. No way Boston gives him anywhere close to $8 million.

No way was Lidstrom the greatest. Dude couldn’t skate, he was extremely slow & had poor agility. Wasn’t a great puck mover. He was only a good bodychecker & slap shot taker. No where near Chelios or Leetch.
