I don't see the jets buying out Little even if a CBO was an option. I like Little and I think people forget how good he has been for the jets. Sure he's had a drop off in production, but a lot of that has to do with injuries as well as Scheifle taking his #1 minutes and Wheeler from him. Simply put the jets are better when he's on the ice.

Oh I agree, Little is still a great player and he has done so much for this franchise. The only reason why I personally think it should be considered at least, is the injury factor and his age by the end of the contract. I would definitely not be upset though if we keep him around as I think a CBO is very unlikely anyways. Hoping he is fully healthy and can get back to the level he was at prior.

Do you think Samberg will be ready?

I think he will start in the AHL for developmental purposes even if he is ready. Get some pro games under his belt and then get some games up with the big club in the latter half of the season.
