Description
I'm not a Vegas fan so I'm not sure about the lines, and you could resign Reaves over Nosek or Cousins if you want, doesn't make a huge difference. Can't see anyone taking Fleury at that cap hit. Let me know your opinion on the trade

no thank you on giving up our first for a pending UFA and a guy who just had a terrible season. its like a 5.5 million cap increase too over ristolainen.

I mean even a 2nd+prospect and Risto I would do. Not sure why, but Vegas fans seem hell bent on not needing a top 4 RD, but on paper it just doesn't make sense having 5 left handed defensemen. The Sabres second line would be playoff caliber after this trade

I agree Stastny would be a great #2 Center for one year to allow Cozen, Mittelstadt or 2020 7th OA develop.
How much cap are the Knights saving by moving Stastny?
Why is a RW who scores at about the same rate as Ristolainen so much more valuable than Rasmus?
Here is another trade that Knight's AGM think is the value of Stastny:
https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1750468
WPG
Stastny, Paul
2021 4th round pick (WPG)
VGK
2021 3rd round pick (WPG)

I know people will disagree with me but I would not trade Ristolainen for Tuch one for one.
I would want something added for a hard hitting, minutes eating, consistent 0.5pt/game right handed defenseman.
Yes he had a terrible +/- last year, but he plays against the other teams top lines and this year his +/- was very respectable.

Those are my reasons for not liking the trade, I am sure others will disagree, which is fine.
We all have our opinions.

Gotta think the first is off the table. I would add our 2nd in 2020 with maybe a 3rd or 4th also coming back
