I feel like they should move something other than Wilde to get rid of Boychuk. I thought he was supposed to be a solid prospect unless something changed.

Wilde is still gonna be good but they have a lot of depth on the RHD.

He is, as but as the other guy said we have a lot of depth on the right side and Wilde is still a year or two away from really having an impact. Besides, we’re getting Boqvist back (which is unlikely, but hasn’t been shot down yet) I’d settle for that.

I don’t think the Devils make this trade. I’m happy taking on the Boychuk contract - I think the Devils should seriously look into it. JB is a serviceable defensemen on a weak NJ roster. I think the Devils have Boqvist pencilled into the middle-6. I think they know more about his game given his NHL resume than Wilde.
