Description
Just one more month than we find out.

I included the Kings, Sens and Wings because they own the all a Top Overall 5 pick and have to potential to make a big trade (with a few extra 2nd Rd'ers each team owns).

A number of these teams have no business in the running for the #1 overall pick. It really makes Buttman and the league the laughing stock of professional sports.

Even worse was when the NHL decided to announce that a playoff loser wins the Lottery. Now 16 (half the League) playoff teams can consider if the 12.5 % odds are better than winning the Cup odds (which they are) and lose on "purpose".

When the NHL did the first Draft Lottery and knew the final 2 picks were between playoff loser or L.A. it should have waited until after the playoff round was over before the announcement.

I don't think players will tank for that reason on purpose. I do think they will tank to get themselves out of that bubble environment and get home to their families though. Even if it is subconscious thinking.

Waiting only would have made it worse as then Buttman for sure would have been seen as fixing the lottery--instead of being incompetent as a commish.

I think the real question is, is the 12.5% chance better than the chance of them actually getting to a cup series without a total melt down. I don't know if I like those odds.
