Description

If Steen retires and Bozak gets bought out that leaves $11.5m in cap space which should be enough to resign pending UFA Alex Pietrangelo and RFAs Vince Dunn and Jacob De La Rose. Giving the Blues a full roster plus one forward and one defensive scratch. (Foley has been on LTIR now already for almost 2 years, failing to pass a physical for concussion symtoms)

You could probably get a 3rd or 4th for Bozak from Florida possibly. I don't think you need to buy him out.

If that's the case sure and then they could have even more space but with Florida's salary dump of Trocheck I doubt they take on an aging player for more money than he made.
