These teams are part of the reason Detroit was seen as a great team to play for. During this run there were several seasons where the Wings didn't break even till the Playoffs and they had a couple where break even point wasn't until the second game of the conference finals. As a player you have to love an owner that puts winning above the bottom line. RIP Mike
