Description

I don't know anything about this team but I feel like they'll have to sell low on their players to get any picks back at all and be cap compliant. Retaining on some more expensive contrats could make them more palatable to other teams. I doubt any other GM will do to Coyotes any favours. Good chance Hall leaves although maybe the whole weird Covid-sports world we are in now changes the calculations for some players about what team they sign with, given right now they aren't based in any actual place anymore.

If they can actually sign Hall they"ll need to move contracts (seems unlikely they will but 'if') ... otherwise I am sure you are right, I think the only real move they would/should do is Raanta since there may be a market for him now and they have 2 other goalies. But that theory makes a more boring cap friendly exercise

It will depend on ownership. They just bought the team which takes a lot of Capitol, they are a cap team that isnt winning and now will be looking at losing quite a bit of money of the next 2 years. One way to save would be to ship everyone out and become an internal budget team.

But we will see

As much as I'd like Raanta in Montreal, he doesn't answer the Habs dire need to have a goalie under contract to expose for the expansion draft. Habs would need to have the commitment to an extension before making this trade.
