Although the trade might be fair (I think the Canadians give up too much), it doesn't help the Ducks cap situation with Emelin making more $ than Fowler.

Emelim makes $4.1 million and Fowler $4 million and this helps Anaheim how, They need to shed salary not take a little more on.

I had thought about the salary issue for ANA. My thought was that they could get a good prospect as well as a serviceable D man for the here and now. Maybe this could also be a TDL deal.
