Good job. I’ve tried negotiating for debrusk before good luck.

Before they acquired Kase and dumped Backes at TDL, didn't seem like BOS fans were willing to part with Debrusk. I am guessing a solid, inexpensive 2nd line RW, and a pick or prospect. (Also may need a goalie).

The short answer is: a player that would make the bruins better, and fit in with the organization, both in style of play, and need of position.
This is speculation, but my impression is that the bruins like the player more than the rest of the league does. I honestly think that’s a big flaw of Sweeney. Reports were that he wouldn’t even discuss moving Urho Vaakainanen for Mark Stone, which is a bit ridiculous. So it would probably take a bit of an overpay.

With that in mind, here is a scenario where I could see it work with Edmonton. Taylor Hall, who I’ve heard some mildly credible rumblings really likes Boston, takes a covid special contract due to the flat cap, the bruins move krejci after his strong playoff showing for something they like, and thus need their second line center. Then Debrusk for RNH has some merit.

If we traded RNH for Debrusk then we would just be looking for another top 6 LW, so that makes no sense for the Oilers. Plus RNH can play 2C if one of our big boys goes down, he is way more valuable to us then Debrusk would ever be. If we make a trade for a top 6 winger then it needs to be for a D as that is our position of strength.

Hey guess who doesn’t need a d man? Boston. Seems like there isn’t a fit with the oilers then.
