LW: Untouchable C: Almost Untouchable RW: available for the right price

Untouchables:
Hellebuyck: you don’t move your mvp if you are trying to win

Scheifele: our best forward and only top 6 center in the team. The jets are pretty screwed without him. Did I also mention he’s a top 10 center in the league (imo)

Ehlers: most dynamic player on the team and solid possession driver. Only gets better every year and makes everyone around him better.

Laine: you just don’t move top goal scorers like him. If you do, you will regret it big time. Future power forward who can drive play much like Ovie and took a big step forward this year in that direction. He is what will set the jets apart from being contender and not.

Morrissey: at least for now. How many defensemen can you say had a down year with a 40 pts pace (just under). He is our de facto top defensemen and he can take over games from the back end. Plays very well in all situations. Just not a guy you give up imo. Even with a down year, not a bad contract.

2020 10th overall pick: If we draft a center, their door will be a 2c and potential to be a 1c. I’m not moving that pick for a 2c now.

Almost untouchable:
Connor: I see him potentially hitting 100 pts someday if he can learn to drive play and create his own chances. Until then however, his production is very much tied to the power play and to playing with scheifele. He consistently needs someone setting him up and that showed in the playoff series against calgary. I do believe he will start creating his own chances soon but right now, he’s not untouchable. And if he doesn’t learn to drive play so, I think he becomes available for the right price.

Copp: our best defensive forward with some offensive upside, he can jump into the top six and be a plug or produce in the bottom six. Will instantly make any line better defensively and probably the future 3C when Lowry likely prices himself out. One of the best possession on the team. He is the type of player that wins cups. The only reason he isn’t under the untouchable list is because he went to arbitration this year and is due for another contract in a year. If he doesn’t want to stay like Trouba I won’t be surprised so he would be movable at that point. Imo I would sign him for anything under 3.75M/year

Pionk: long term he might not fit but right now, he is our top rd and is very good. I think that he should be an untouchable normally but he adds to the idea of our defense being too small. If we can add some size in the form of a big top 4 rd he becomes untouchable though.

Samberg: imo almost no prospect is untouchable. That said Samberg is very close as he is a big and high end left d prospect who has parayko type upside. That said, we can find similar players right now by including him in sergachev.

Heinola: has potential to be a top pairing d. However, same thing as pionk. With out ld flushed long term he might be expendable due to his lack of size.

Gawanke: only rd prospect who is near the nhl and has top 4 potential

Berdin: just a joy to watch lol
