Pesce, Trocheck, 13th would be a deal that gets Laine. This scattershot speculation is just pointless.

Lebrun confirmed Carolina straight up will not move Pesce for anything less than a 1 for 1 top line winger, so that ain't happening

Nylander isn't viewed as a top-line winger by teams like Toronto and Carolina that run on analytics. We're talking better than that. Pesce just isn't going to be a trade piece for Carolina this year. My guess is likely Trocheck being the centerpiece (in a deal for any top 6 winger) but I also highly doubt they move the pick that will become Askarov (in all likelihood) either. So, this does make a lot of sense. It certainly gives Winnipeg a LOT of defensive aid to a blueline that desperately needs it, and they have the cap space.
