I saw @Pikey_Isaac suggest a similar Florida trade in a different thread. I thought it was interesting, but changed the pieces we are giving up. Value is obviously not quite there, but we could debate the pieces to be added. I think this is a very complete team.

As an oilers fan, I'd like to keep the battle of Alberta interesting so I'd have to say No, no no no no no, this would break the flames and it would be like sr men's playing against the peewee hockey team, this would put the flames in hell and would have to draft numerous quality centers to be back to where they are today

Florida says hell No, They need D just as bad as Calgary. Monahan would be a sweet #2 behind Barkov no need for Gaudreau who'd walk in 2 years. Florida's giving up the better pieces here.
