Change Tippett to borgstrom and they’d do it

Division BLOCKBUSTER
Yeah bad for Florida. Huberdeau has more value than marner cause of his contract and not trading our best dman for a prospect and a pick. They’re gonna make the playoffs. They are not trading any core players for prospects and picks.

These are brutal for the panthers. Hoffman won’t go in the division and if he’s traded it will be for a defenseman that’s not a third liner. And vesey is a third liner borgstrom at least has more upside than that.

Yeah stralman isn’t the worst on this team and his contract is shorter than the rest of the d. But I’ll trade you Matheson for brodin

Panthers say no unless you’re keeping half his salary. They have no cap space and have to resign some forwards.

Building on another ACGM Three Trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CHUG</b></div><div>They do if they move Pysyk and the pens retain 500k like in the ACGM above, Pens could also retain another 100k-200k if necessary. Plus this will give the Panthers a 3rd LHD on their roster which they currently need and Adam Johnson could be flipped for a draft pick if they want.</div></div>
But why would they down grade on d plus add a couple more years of Johnson contract for that. And they have people to resign so they need the cap space.

Didn’t realize they played 17 forwards and 1 defenseman out there. Or they can trade one of the other Six guys on defense.

So why trade your best rd This year to fill a third line pair. And he’s been playing Ld with ekblad the last couple games.

Panthers Probbaly would rather keep weegar. He’s one of the bright spots on defense on this team.

The Panthers Real Need
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>I saw bob play a lot of games over the years for CBJ. I wasn't just a slow start.
To some degree there was speculation he just wanted out of CBJ. He wasn't getting along with the coach or the GM. There was drama. Maybe you could say he was frustrated.
But as you look back on it, and watch his play now with FL, I have only seen 2 games. But he does look off. He's not the same player.</div></div>
He’s been alright. First couple games were horrible defense turn overs or not covering the guy back door. But lately it’s been some weak ones. Missed the Colorado game but not sure what happened after they were up 4-1.

He wasn’t playing third line center. Borgstrom was and sometimes malgin. Bonino isn’t what the team needs. Defense is what makes this team from being a top 8 team.

I think FL is going to regret that contract.</div></div>
They might. But he always starts slow according to his stats. But he’s also a major upgrade over what they had before.

That’s the last of their needs. Didn’t really need Boyle. The real need is better defenseman.

Fixing the defense
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>I agree with what you're trying to do. Specifically to answer that question....NO, it's not going to help him. Q doesn't care. Look at Nick Leddy. Traded. Look at Eric Gustafsson...Spent 2 season in Rockford only to show that he can score 55 points in 65 games under Colliton. I think Q is indeed one of the best coaches in the game, but there's virtually zero leash for young Dmen to make mistakes...develop into better Dmen while doing so. It's his single biggest flaw.</div></div>
Very true. I think what’s best though is trading him for some sort of package like above and not getting a young guy that needs more development.

Matheson has never taken care of the puck that well...I'll admit I haven't seen much of them play this year, but if it's anything like last year...expect some dog house treatment.</div></div>
Yeah but is that really gonna help him. He’s young and for some reason isn’t progressing well on this team. That’s why I’d trade him and package him for someone else that is better.

You'd have to trade, Foligno, Wennberg, Harrington, and Dubinsky. To do that you wouldn't have a pick in the first 5 rounds for at least the next 3 years, or any prospects...</div></div>
Well since it was last season, 3 of those players salaries would be cut in half bringing them to the salary cap.

Lol understandable. But the panthers left side isn’t terrible. Yandle just needs a defensive dman to play with. And Matheson just had a super ****ty season I think he’ll bounce back last year he tore up the world championships and his season took a **** once he choke slammed petterson. I think coach q will help his game considerably.

Easy no from the panthers. You’re talking about giving away big contracts to aging players hoffman is 28 where Chicago hands out 6 mil to players over 33. To send back seabrook it will have to be 50% retention or boqvist with him.
