I dunno if any team thinks seven more years of 28 year old Sanheim is a good idea, never mind giving up a first for him.

Pretty easy pass for Detroit.
Not worth the value, nor does it make sense when we have Edvinsson, Walman, and hopefully Albert Johansson.

And Wallinder, and Buium, and the legend himself Mr. Cleveland.

Wings have seven thousand LD, trade doesn't not make sense for them. Try another destination

But a first and a 2nd is better than this package. Laughton is barely a replacement and two seconds is nothing to Florida.

Not to mention adding another LHD when we already have Walman/Edvinsson/Chiarot/Maatta signed and Johansson loses waiver exemption next season.

I'm talking of defensemen that are reasonably expected to make the team.

Honestly Sanheim has been pretty useful and reliable this year in most situations and really bounced back after a bad season last year. With what the flyers are trying to do building from the D out I don't see them moving him. I think they look to add on D if anything, not subtract. Bonk and Andrae are still a few years out, they don't want to have to rush those guys and Drysdale isn't ready to shoulder more minutes.

Oh I know lol Wallinder is still at least another year away and who knows what Buium/Brady will be, just re-affirming the point that LHD is not the way

Buium and especially Brady are longshots to even be an 8D, sadly.

Flyers and Sanheim both want to respect the NMC. Sanny's had a good bounce back season, no reason to trade him right now. We still need a couple vets on the team to set an example for the young guns too.

well it would actually be a first and third, i was wrong. ~40OA and a 2026 2nd + Laughton is about identical. like, i don't think it could get any closer

Columbus signed damon severson who is much worse than sanheim to an identical contract as sanheim at the same age i believe. let's not be revisionist here, teams would be willing. a team gave up a fortune for provorov at more AAV for 3 years (yes, not 7) even though he has been terrible for years. cmon, stop that

risto handled top pairing minutes fine when he was there. over a full season, who knows. maybe not. but sanheim is not apart of the future. getting rid of him is a must and a lot of teams could really use that. overall i think he has been more of a liability for york than an asset. so, not good. post ~november he hasn't been too great

I mean they can. I dont think they resign Reinhart if he wants more than 8.5 or montour if he wants more than 6. But lundell is worth more to them than either of them. He’s not given a top 6 role but if he was he’d be putting up points. So it would take a first and third for him to sign the offer sheet if he even wants to sign there.

Well, you're talking about team (CBJ) that has a terrible management. Severson cost a third rounder, not a first.

But those were 2 position of needs, this is by far the least.

They have to resign seider, ratmond, veleno and kane. Have 5 LD on roster for next season. How does it fit?
