COL declines. They don’t need an RFA dman when they have 2 of their own and Byram and Timmins coming. It might make sense if he were a shut down guy who PK’s but COL doesn’t need Montour’s type.

It wasn't meant to be that way...just signed Ullmark and that's where he fell after Hutton. Actually if I was sure what goalie to go after Hutton wouldn't be on the team

Selling that low on Montour won’t help us in the slightest.

Why are we giving Clifford and Borowiski 2 year deals?

This team isn’t better and isn’t all that cheap either.

The signings are according to Evolving Hockey...not my estimations. Most say their estimations are close, of course they may be off some. They were close on McCann.
As for cost then you might as well just plug-in all guys on ELC's. the only big signing is Smith which isn't breaking the bank, again 4.4M is Evolving Hockey's estimation.
The second line is better than last year, it has what should be 3 20+ goal scorers.
The third line is better than last year and as the year progresses you would think Cozens Kahun and Thompson should provide some secondary scoring.
The fourth line added some grit with Clifford.
Borowiecki adds some grit to the D...some protection for Joker and need be Dahlin.
This team has played soft for some time,they needed some grit.
Giving them 2 yrs gets them to come here and if things don't work out they can be traded at the TDL, having term makes them a little more valuable.
What do you think you are going to get for Montour...his value hasn't gone up since he came here
