Y'all have no idea how much fun this was as a Preds fan

Keep in mind it's a very rough sketch theoretical and the amount of variables here is overwhelming

Why I'm not trading for 2021 picks but for the likely top picks of the 2022 draft

Congratulations you are the one millionth Armchair GM Yahoo to be abruptly negative/dismissive after looking at a complex post for 30 seconds

Here's your prize:

Shut tf up

It's a very rough sketch theoretical (as stated above) so idk like a thousand grains of salt here?

The trade values are roughly cogent and ultimately you can acquire those picks somehow, the strategy makes perfect sense, the franchise has deep pockets and the fanbase can handle a full tank... would you like to offer even an iota of constructive critical input?

Very easy no from SJ

From a major Patrick Kane fan. Merkley won’t be moved and Kane costs way too much.

Ok sure. Since you ask:

You have three players that you proposed with full NMC: Toews, Keith, and Kane

I'd love to know why Toews waives to go to Montreal, Keith waives to go to Anaheim, and Kane waives to go to San Jose. By the ways none of those teams are contenders so it's not like they have a chance to win. Also, all three of those teams are pretty much rebuilding so why would they trade youth for players that are over 30 years old (and in Keith's case like 37)

So now that we have established that there's no chance that Keith, Toews, and Kane all get moved (especially Toews and Kane) EVEN if the Hawks wanted to. Why are we doing a full rebuild while we have them on the roster? Why not build around the young prospects that we have drafted including Dach, Boqvist, Mitchell, Beaudin, Reichel, Debrincat, Strome, Kubalik, Nylander, etc. That is a very good prospect pool/young talent right there and it'll only continue to grow. So literally this whole thing is pointless.

The smarter thing to do is just get a real starting goaltender and just let the roster do it's thing because they are definitely capable of making the playoffs and competing with their current roster + a starting goalie. Especially as the younger defense begins to continue to develop.

I have a counter proposal: Why don't you trade us Josi for Seabrook?

Edit: Why do you need to insult me for not agreeing with you?

No he’s right this is beyond dumb,
#1 next year is shaping up to be a weak draft
#2 thats a set up for disaster as you will have 7-10 players looking for spots at the same time and if your lucky contracts at the same time which would ruin you
Even if this worked you would end up with a quick end before you could reach success.
Better idea would be space the picks out 2-3 a year instead that way you get waves or talent instead of a flood all at once
