Description
Not sure if Florida trade is fair or not but Toronto doesn't necessarily need Acciari so if not structure it around Weegar for Kerfoot and moving Holl separately if need be.

The whole point of Florida trading Weegar is that they can't afford him. He wants 3+ mill and they don't have the INTERNAL CAP to give him that. So my point is that it does not make sense for them to trade Weegar and bring in more cap then they would have given to him. Kerfoot+Holl is already 5.5 million in which is 2-2.5 more then they would give Weegar. If you want to give up someone cheap like Dermott or Engvall that is fine, but Florida likely doesn't take anything more then 1.5 million back. Understand?

Acciari being added doesn't really make up the difference in cap either

Got you. if they'd want Engvall+Dermott+a 2nd, I'd take that easy. But I don't think that gets it done. Point of my post was to see how it fits within the cap anyway.

Based on an internal cap structure where it's the actual dollars that matter more so than the cap, Florida actually saves money/room in this deal assuming that Weegar gets 3+ and his salary structure reflects the AAV.

Kerfoot and Holl earn a combined $3.6m for this season and, under the above assumption, Weegar and Acciari would combine for $4.5m+

Kerfoot+Holl= 5.5 million

Weegar (at 3.5 lets say)+Acciari= 5.2 million

Did you... did you read my comment?

"Based on an internal cap structure where it's the actual dollars that matter more so than the cap"

You emphasized 'internal cap' in your original comment, but you're disregarding the implications of that.
