Looks like an easy Dorion accept tbh. Recall the Dahlen deal in which he dealt an undersized recent 2nd rounder for a 4th liner making 4.5 mil on a 1 year deal. The difference here is that Ottawa is giving up a lesser, older player and getting a better cheaper player in Smith on top of a superior player to Abramov in Howden. Dorion of course really loves size and physicality and that's what he's acquiring. Would probably be a no-brainer for him.

Schneider is not getting traded, not the way JD got excited like a little kid when they drafted him ahead of a pressing need at C.
