Yeah this looks pretty realistic - the compensation to get rid of boychuk is steep, but I can see it happening. No retention though

Obviously that's the hope. The whole Boychuk thing is so up in the air right now anyways. I really hope Lou doesn't overplay his hand (that's a phrase right?) and wait until everyone's rosters are full and no one wants to take on a bad contract. Lots of teams are trying to move their guys and there aren't a lot of takers. That's why I included the retention -- it's not going to kill us and it makes swallowing that contract a little more palatable.

Yeah I get what you’re saying. Lou is usually good with moving out salary, obviously it’s a bit different this offseason.
