This teams gonna get real good unfortunately

Also yeah that Jeff Carter buyout seems like a real plausibility - would be interesting to see what he does and where he goes if he stays

I'm not a Kings fan so I was wondering if they'd keep Brown on the 1st line, as of rn imo I think they will until his contract ends. It's a mix of getting as much as possible out of Brown with that money given to him along with avoiding overplaying the young guys.

Don't think they'll buy out Carter, especially if Luff is the replacement option. Luff is not a NHL player and is likely to go the way of Johnny Brodzinski.

Carter is still a good offensive player. He's not the two-way stalwart he once was. He's significantly overpaid, but if the Kings retain 50% of his contract, someone will take the final year of his contract.

Also what happened to Mikey Anderson? He's the 2LD of this team going forward, and a much better option than Ian Cole.

I was considering trading Carter, but I feel the buyout won't be as bad since it'll only be 2 years. I'm not too familiar with Michael Anderson, I assumed that 6 NHL games played with not the greatest numbers down in the minors was a sign of a 3rd pairing dman peak, but looking back I may have been too harsh. Also, Ian Cole is criminally underrated, he's a poor mans Shea Theodore with is not an insult at all.

Brown will play on the 1st line until someone unseats him. Kaliyev and Fagemo are the current two options to do that, and they're still at least a full season away from making the NHL. They're unlikely to be ready for 1st line minutes as rookies, so it's a solid assumption that Brown will retain 1RW duties until his contract ends, unless they pursue someone via UFA or trade.
