Description
Maybe the Sabres need a small additional add? Depends how much the Flames would value a prospect like Laaksonen.

Cozens joins the roster for at least 9 games after the World Juniors and then a decision will need to be made on if he stays or goes back to the W.

The way Laaks is playing right now, I don't see him getting moved.

Is he good?

This deal weakens CGY in net and on the PK pretty substantially this year. It does bring back a decent depth RD (Miller), but unless that Laaksonen kid is an A-level prospect, this package is a steep price for CGY to pay.

Well Oskari Laaksonen is a year or two away. I love watching him play in Liiga but CGY is a win-now team so I think they step away from this. Laaks isn't an A prospect but I think if he keeps his play up he can get there.

On further review I think the Sabres would need to add. I agree that the deal probably weakens Calgary in areas that make the deal unlikely from their perspective. The Sabres probably would need to include a better prospect than Laaksonen, who at best is maybe a right-handed Kylington.

Would rather keep Rittich instead of having Domingue/Hutton as the backup
