Carlo plays RD, so ditch Hamonic. Clifton is solid, Lauzon is solid, Miller re-signed and is allegedly going to be able to play, so ditch Greene.
Bjork really is a left winger, he’ll play the third line, and Wagner is a real good player, he’ll fill the fourth line RW spot. That means scrap Haula.

The Chara signing is okay.

Also, i think your setting your sights pretty low on, “trying to make the playoffs.” This team ran away with the presidents trophy last year.

I don't see Chara coming back for that.
He took a 3 mil pay cut last year. I don't see him going any lower that what he was playing at last year.
But I think it's kind of the teams way of telling him, it's time to hang it up.

I can't imagine him putting up with the mini bubble life and all the crap they are proposing for a take home of 350k or there about.
At some point, it's just not worth it.

Except Chara, they don't need any of the UFAs. Lauzon, Clifton, Vaakanainen, Zboril, Moore, Miller, Kampfer are all options for #5, #6, #7 D. Soderberg isn't needed, they have Kuraly and Lindholm. Haula neither, Bjork is there and expect Ritchie to get a second try.
