So I dont know how you say no. I know rd isn't the biggest need but cernak looked to good not to take. I'd try to flip either johnson or killorn after the deal for another pick. Johnson grew up in washington so I wonder if getting him to Seattle would be a possibility in the near future.

I want to believe Duhatschek. He's as credible as they come. But I think he's speculating. Especially when it comes to Cernak. I'd love him on Detroit but Brisebois recently said he's not trading his RFAs. I know GM's are pathological liars. It's part of their job. But I'd still take Barre-Boulet to go with Johnson, Killorn and a 1st.

I'd do it even if it didnt net cernak and was BarreBoulet instead. Id make sure johnson would agree to waive for Seattle though before hand

That's fine but there's no guarantee Ronnie Francis would want Johnson. He still has to hit the cap floor so TJ's 5 mil AAV helps.

Having too many RHD is a problem I’m willing to have. Ideally, you’d try and retain cap on TJ/Killorn to net you a pick(s) but even if you can’t they at least help the club out a little.

Maybe, Seattle takes TJ and that would be amazing as you’d essentially get a first rounder + Cernak for one year of TJ + Killorn. Both players are still valuable but I wouldn’t say they’re worth their cap (at least TJ) in the current pandemic but this really a moot point as I don’t see TB doing this deal. I think they have something up their sleeves like NYI.
