Description
How every team did against evey other Canadian team.

First how evey team finished overall from first to last

1.Edmonton (37-25-9) 83p 72gp 2nd pacific Division

2.Toronto (36-25-9) 81p 70gp 3rd Atlantic Division

3.Winnipeg (37-28-6) 80p 71gp 4th Central Division

4.Calgary (36-27-7) 79p 70gp 3rd Pacific Division

5.Vancouver (36-27-6) 78p 69gp 4th Pacific Division

6.Montreal (31-31-9) 71p 71gp 5th Atlantic Division

7.Ottawa (25-34-12) 62p 71gp 7th Atlantic Division

Ottawa surprisingly could of done a lot better if they won half of those overtime games they ended up losing. Other then that it's crazy to see just how close evey Canadian teams was to one another overall.

Here's comparing their records when inky looking at all Canadian games. And comparing goals for and foal against. As well as overtime wins at the end, just to show how easy a team could of been much worse or better.

1.Montreal (9-2-2) 20p 13gp (47-37=+13) 5 OT wins

2.Toronto (7-3-4) 18p 14gp (47-42=+5) 1 OT win

3.Winnipeg (8-2-0) 16p 10gp (39-27=+12) 3 OT wins

4.Calgary (8-4-0) 16p 12gp (42-40=+2) 2 OT wins

5.Edmonton (7-7-2) 16p 16gp (40-51=-11) 0 OT wins

6.Ottawa (4-7-2) 10p 13gp (32-44=-12) 0 OT wins

7.Vancouver (5-10-0) 10p 15 gp (39-53=-14) 1 OT win

Pretty close for a few there. Montreal finishes first in the all Canadian Division even though they were second last when including all games played. However, those 5 OT wins could of changed a lot. Have Ottawa over Vancouver because they have the same points but Vancouver played 2 more games had a slightly larger negative goal differential.

Obviously there has been some significant changes because of free agency and a few trades. Some teams lost more then they gained and other improved significantly. I'll leave that all up for debate.

Things will be different when you are playing the same 6 teams the most, scouting and what not.

How I personally think the standing will look:

1.Toronto
2.Edmonton
3.Montreal
4.Vancouver
5.Winnipeg
6.Ottawa
7.Calgary

Also, I will rank some players here. 3 Forwards, 2 Defenceman and 1 Goalie per team in order overall. Some teams were harder to pick players, I chose players who I think I've seen other fans favour or who I think may have the biggest impact.

Also, lots can be argued, so many good players here and tons to consider. Lots of good players for each team aren't show here either.

Barrie 3rd? Chabot 11th? Agreed for the Murray ranking for the 7 G.

JT Miller?

Considered him, I just think the other edge him out overall. Maybe interchangeable with Brock but I think Brock will have a good season this year. No knocks on JT Miller or anything it took him a number of season to get to the level he's at now. I think Brock has a higher ceiling is all. But yea, could easily swap the two.

Barrie at 3rd because of his two previous season before last. Almost hit 69, I think he has huge potential to eclipse that on EDM PP or even 5v5 if he's playing with McDavid or Draisaitl. Also I'm an Oilers fan. Chabot could easily move up 5 spots but I think he plays for a weak team and honestly overrated, I know he had 55 points a season ago but regressed a bit after only 1 good season. And has been a minus player. 8 mil is to rich. His stats would be better in a better team but I don't think he will have enough of an impact to make the Sens any better then they were last year. But it's definitely arguable that he is better then 11th.
