Yzerman wouldn’t take Johnson for free so now he trades for him? A ton of people like to bash Glendening but I’d wager he returns a pick at the TDL if flipped. I want Patches to stay in Vegas and it doesn’t make too much sense to trade for him (from Detroit in the middle of a rebuild).

I'm not sure why everyone is so down on Johnson. he is a 40-50 point Center. but I get it if Yzerman doesn't want to go down that road again.
