Considering all the other teams could have signed him, I think he likely does clear. But even the limited risk of "losing" him is worth it to get Pelleter some NHL experience imo.

I guess I just don’t like our depth without him. We only have 3 guys in the starting lineup with regular NHL PK experience. I assume one of Simon/Dube/Bennett/Tkachuk will get some experience on the PK, but if we get an injury to one of Backlund/Lindholm/Ryan our PK will start to become an issue. I prefer him in the lineup over Lucic honestly.
