Description

Preds get rid of that long term bad contract (5x8 mil. remaining). They get a goal scorer, something they really miss (except Forsberg). Taking Okposo is a nessessity to make this trade happen, he's worse, older, useless, but has 3x6 mil. remaining.

Buffalo finally gets rid of Okposo, and replace stuggling Staal with a playmaker, better fit to guys like Olofsson and Reinhart (goal scorers) and could help Skinner to get back on track. So they take a chance on Johansen, hoping a change of scenery would help him.

Note: build the bottom 6 as you like. We've seen all possible combinatins with our coach, so take whichever you want.

Makes more sense for Nashville to simply retain some salary on trading Johansens contract. IMO.

As bad as RYJO has been, hes still a decent and youngish NHLer. Okposo is barely a 4th liner at this point.

Retain 30% of RYJOs contract in a deal and im sure there would be some teams interested. That would give Nashville more savings than adding Okposo and Staal as well as keeping them off the roster to boot.
