I think on this website that package doesn't look great but people would be seriously undervaluing Phillips at that point I think this is probably very close. And it sounds like Sutter was working pretty closely with the guys in Anaheim so hopefully Rakell could come over and produce immediately

I definitely wouldn't take a thing that is "rumored" on that site as anything more than pure clickbait. If Anaheim accepted Bennett 1:1, GMBM would be hung from whatever the tallest object is at Disneyland.

Consensus seems to be 1st+good prospect+so/so roster player

I have trouble trusting that Phillips game translates to the NHL. Lots of sub-5'10'' guys have absolutely lit up the AHL (See: most of the leading scorers from the past 5 or 6 years), but very few, if any have had any form of success in the NHL. I'd rather see Calgary play him a bit before I gamble my biggest trade chip on him.

For sure, I can agree with that.

We have LWs and LDs galore. Bennett is an underperforming LW and Kylington still hasn't made the jump to the NHL; from his draft, other second-rounders like Travis Dermott, Travis Roy, Jonas Siegenthaler, Brendan Guhle and even Jeremy Lauzon (to mention nothing about Brandon Carlo, Erik Cernak and Rasmus Andersson) all look to have brighter futures. Matthew Phillips look to me to be another AHL flash like Jeremy Bracco (taken immediately after Phillips). So this is more than a little bit off for Rickard Rakell who, when last I looked, would be tied with Sean Monahan for fourth-best scoring forward on your team.
