Agreed, but if he goes to open market I think that it will be pretty shallow next year and to pay a guy to come to Buffalo not stay in Buffalo is very different. The only notable UFA goalies under 30 next year are Rittich, Grubauer, Dreidger. I think they could all get a pretty good pay day.

Ullmark was great this season before getting hurt. In fact, he got injured making the save of the year. He wasn’t getting much help, but he was really coming into his own. He is a capable starter, just put a halfway decent defense in front of him.
