All I see is money to fetch a goaltender to tandem with Nedeljkovic and a top-4 guy on a short-term deal to play over Sellgren and long-term cap security with the expiration of various older contracts over the next two seasons.

By the time there's cap issues in Carolina again, the cap starts going up again. Well done by the management group, even if it means Hamilton walking.

Nothing really wrong with losing the UFAs....it's how to spend the "saved" cap on other signings is the key to success.
