Description
Assuming no more trades are made, imo this is what I would start the playoffs with. Obviously I would prefer to establish the new D pairings well before the playoff but I think these particular combos would work. Also you should be able to flow through all three pairings without worrying about matchups. Petry was a Norris candinate earlier in the year playing along side Edmundson so why not put them back together? Chiarot I think would be a nice safety valve for Romanov to be aggressive in the offensive zone and Weber needs a puck moving D man to play along with him. I'm surprised they agent tried Kulak with him yet. These pairings all have one puck moving dman in Petry, Romanov and Kulak with an added stay at home style D with Edmundson, Chiarot and Weber.

With the forwards my only concern would be speed on the 4th line, which is why I added Byron instead of Armia and the PK without Lehkonen in the lineup.

3 RH shot on the 2nd line, I'm no habs fan but you would play Caufield with Toffoli? They both are snipers.

All being RH does have its own issues for sure. I view Caufield more than just sniper though. He imo is the only real hab that will be able to create space just off reputation, which should open things up for Suzuki to set up Toffoli.

I hate to date myself here, but Jacques Lemaire (passer) between Steve Schutt and Guy Lafleur. Both snipers that had over 50 goal seasons, with Lemaire dishing the puck left and right. Formed a killer line!

I hate to break up the Drouin-Suzuki-Anderson line as they play off each other well. Also I want to see KK get a shot with Caufield and Toffoli, how many times over the last 3 years have we seen KK make an incredible play to set up someone only to have them miss the shot? Plus think of the nicknames you could have for that line with all 3 players having double initials LOL. We could call it something like Double Jeopardy LOL.

oh my goodness that cracked me up with your double letters. But on a serious note, I also suggested placing Caufield next to KK and people shot down the idea but if you look back to the time KK went to Laval, his passes were amazing and he was setting people up like crazy. It is a good problem to have.
