theres no reason for LA to do that trade you really want 3 players making 10 million. let alone byfield can be better than eichel.

I take it you don't really understand about how good Eichel is (top 10, arguably top 5 nhl centre).

he is not a top five center or a top 10 player in the league
is he better than
1. Mcdavid
2. Matthews
3. Crosby
4. mackinnon
5. barkov

Not on the same planet as the first 4? Yes, I agree.

But he's not far behind Barkov, and because he's younger, he'll likely be better one day.

Also, I'll add Draisitl to that group as well for you, depending on if he's considered a centre (still don't know whether he's a centre or a wing, but if he's a centre he ranks higher than Eichel)

After that, you're comparing him to guys like Petterson, Schifele, Malkin, Point, Tavares, Bergeron, O'Rielly, Barzal, Kopitar, Cotiuier, etc
Personally, I'd rather have Eichel than any of them.

barkov is much better than eichel. Then when you add that Eichel is paid significantly more than almost everyone else you named it just is not worth it. your taking a gamble that eichel will become that 10m player.
