Hyman likely takes a longer deal to stay in Toronto at the low of a cap hit, but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that he signs 5 or 6 years at that cap hit.
I really don't see a situation where Dermott is back next season, just losing his spot to prospects coming up and no point in wasting him as a healthy scratch. Dubas has made it a trademark of his that if he signs a guy that won't play, he'll move him to give him a chance to keep his career going (Leivo, Lehtonen, Barabanov, etc.). I expect him dealt in the off-season.
I see Kerfoot as a likely player taken by Seattle but I think Toronto will have to pay a bit for them to do it. In a flat cap world that $3.5M cap hit will be beneficial for them to re-sign Hyman so I don't think Vegas would let that happen for nothing.
Campbell is not a starting goalie and can't be a starter if you expect to compete. He's a great back up that can fill in for a bit when a starter gets hurt, but he's not a starter. Doesn't have the consistency or mental strength for it. I wouldn't bring Mrazek in to tandem with him when Mrazek has an injury history. I think bringing Andersen back on a 1 year, cheaper deal than he has now makes sense for both sides.
Toronto really needs to address their centre depth. Granlund isn't really a centre and Hallander at 4C is an okay option but he'd have to be isolated to play. I think they look to the trade market for at least 1 centre and probably a veteran free agent for the 4C spot. They really need 2 guys that can consistently play centre on the PK, neither of Hyman or Goodrow are regular centres so that'll have to be addressed because leaving Spezza there just for faceoffs isn't the best option either
