Description
I'm a diehard Sens fan but havent actually taken the time to try and project next year, or at least project it according to my own thoughts

Note 1: Tierney trade is meant to be Seattle Expansion if that's unclear
Note 2: I played it safe and went with the two draftees I think we'll be most likely to get, unless the standings change drastically, but who knows with the lottery tbh

Note 3: I know a lot of projections on this site set up trades that ship Watson and J. Brown for picks - I get the sentiment but if it happens I don't think it's happening in the offseason. Also with the way that Norris has been playing late in the season, he's starting to remind me of Patrice Bergeron (optimistically of course), so I don't think a 1-4 Center lineup the way that it's set up below is going to be subpar at all long-term. I also don't think we should get crazy with Free Agents until some contracts and dead cap are off the books, since Norris, Pinto, Stützle, Brännström, Gustavsson, Daccord, and Formenton will all need bigger contracts in the next 1-2 years

Fellow Sens fans let me know what you think

Who are you worried about Seattle taking that youre willing to pay them that much?

It's less about who I'm worried about - although on that note I am worried about them taking Gustavsson or Daccord - it's more getting them to take Tierney. I don't want his contract on our books and he's clogging the depth chart. I think if Brown ends up looking better late season I'd just give them a pick, but if we could toss him to Seattle if he doesn't meet our expectations, then that's a win-win. If he continues out of Ottawa's good books, his value isn't going to be more than a 4th or 5th rounder I think. I'm trying to be less biased as a Sens fan, since a lot of people are still hung up on his draft position and think he'll go for another top prospect or high pick.

I get that youre trying to think in an unbiased way, but look at what youre actually talking about.

A barely 23yo former 11OA, and a 4th in order to get rid of on year of 3.5M (that they might take anyways).

I dont think LBrown is going to return a good prospect or a high pick, but this is selling at the absolute lowest for very little return.

Would you trade LBrown, Tierney and a 4th for Gus? For Dacc? for anyone that OTT is leaving exposed? I wouldnt.

I don't see the need to lock up a spot for 3 years (way too long) with Dzingel playing 10-12 minutes per game for $2.75M per season while Sokolov, Greig, Crookshank, and Watson AREN'T in the line up.
And I felt Bishop worked way harder than Amadio, so if I had to sign one of them...
