Your going to get told Gibson is worth a lot more than that. He’s heavily overrated around here. That’s the absolute most I’d ever even consider giving up for a goalie tho.

Funny . . . you never hear adherents of teams like Tampa or Winnipeg or Las Vegas or Colorado downplaying the value of world-class goaltenders. It's always mugs from teams with also-rans in net that think the price of upgrading to contention should be cheap.

It's conceivable that Semyon Varlamov might be available this off-season. Would you offer the Islanders a top-4 defenseman, a future first and a goalie you're likely to buy out for him? Of course not.
