This actually doesnt seem to bad. Tons of depth forwards and you only got to hit on 1 or 2 for it to be considered a "success" offseason. Virtanen, Grabner, Ho-Sang, Bracco. Assuming one of those guys plays above his pay grade thats a good signing, and the rest like I said great pieces for depth. Likely able to fill in when the pens inevitably get injured.
I like the Kylington and Poolman signings. Graves would be sweet. He'd be an instant help for Marino on that second pair.
I'd possibly like to see some improvement in net but that could easily be assessed via trade at the deadline. It's being proven again and again that in order to succeed in the NHL you need 3 goalies who are all nhl caliber. Not 3 starters. But at least 3 guys who are capable of playing in the nhl as a backup. Imagine the Penguins series against the isles if they had a David Rittich or a James Reimer to lean on when Jarry was playing bad. Obviously with Desmith hurt it was either play Jarry who was sucking or play Legace, a guy who's career sv% in like only 20 games is worse than Jarrys that series. You need a starter, and 2 NHL caliber backups.
My only issue with this is, im not 100% sure if Poulin is NHL ready yet, and if he is, is he ready for the top 6? Obviously Sid can make anyone better. That would be interesting. I think he needs at least a season in Wilkes-Barres top 6 before making the jump. Hopefully he proves that statement wrong though
