Saw an earlier post sighting the the buyout necessity of Fleury by the Pens. Leafs will lessen the buyout cap for the Pens and stabilize their backup. An expensive option for the Leafs. Cheaper alternatives might be as good.

In a vacuum this looks good.
But Las Vegas will certainly draft fleury, which will mean toronto loses both lievo and Rychel, instead of Marincin.

Sorry but Penguins will not retain Salary for Fleury, personally I think there's two options: 1. He agrees to waive his NMC and is selected by Vegas, Pens save their core players or 2. They take him for Penny on the dollars and trade him away for a cheap proven contract and some depth roster players or draft picks (ie. Niemi 50% retained and a third pick)

Thanks for the comment. Rychel and Leivo may never be NHL players. With the salary retention, Fleury could be picked by Las Vegas as you suggest, otherwise Las Vegas might look elsewhere.
