Description
I've seen enough trades for Christian Dvorak from Toronto fans for garbage and monkey points (spurred by a rumor floated on a slow news day by a purported pundit) that I thought I would see what I think a legitimate trade for a first-line forward would look like.

If Bear is the wrong guy to trade, I'd substitute Caleb Jones and another element.

The pick is now known to be the 19th overall selection (20th slot).

He doesn’t produce at a first line forward level. They can get the same production on the FA market while giving up no assets

He also brings a level of defense that isn't available on the market. I think he'd be used on the third line as a C in this case, to where he is more than capable of driving a line.

What do you think of my trade value? That's my main interest.

I’d be mildly interested but idk what would give up I don’t see him as a top six fit for the team and wouldn’t give any of those assets for anyone to play in bottom six. Really not sure he’s the guy to go after.

The Yotes probably only move him in an overpay. But I think the degree of overpay here is a bit much. This is debatably the oilers best defensively inclined defenseman moving forward, a decent pick in the draft, as well as their 2nd and third best prospects.

I think by removing Lavoie you've still given the Yotes a package to think on.
