Description

- keep Rielly for one last season so Sandin can develop, let him walk in free agency
- have Matthews and Nylander carry their own lines to even out lineup and ice time so players don't run out of juice down the stretch
- get the most out of Tavares by putting Marner on his wing
- don't overthink it, load up the first pp unit

** Rittich is just a filler, best goalie available at around that price point

Just trying this out to see how it would look, don't think this is the way to go because we would be very vulnerable to injury with this roster composition( if one of core 4 forwards goes out we are screwed)

I think Dermott will sign for closer to $2M, and there are only 21 players on the roster, so would need to find another $1.5- $1.8M to handle injuries.

It’s an interesting build, but getting Hamilton will be tough with the core 4 on the roster. Other issue is goalie post 21-22 when Campbell’s contract is up.
