Mtl gives a 4th and Byron to Seattle for taking Chiarot over Allen.

Seattle gets a #4 or #5 d-man as well as a speedy bottom 6 forward who's good on the pk and brings leadership. Both contracts are short term and aren't handcuffing Seattle long term.

Both players need a change of scenery. Salaries pretty much equal. Mtl gets a young right d-man, something they lack as all their younger d-men are on the left side. Swap of pick because Ristolainen can walk at the end of the year while Drouin still has time left on his contract.

Could be any other team who needs a depth d-man, not necessary Buffalo...

Coyotes are likely to trade OEL. Weber helps them getting to the salary floor while paying little 'real money'. Weber's salary over the next 5 years is 6m, 3m, 1m, 1m, 1m.

He also brings the leadership they'll lose by trading OEL.

St-Louis will most likely lose Dunn to Seattle if they don't trade him. Lehkonen is a decent player who won't cost too much and fits the Blues style of play.
