Van wont be competing next year anyways so the lack of term doesn't make the cap dump worth it. They'd just wait the year and eat it.

0 reason to do a sign and trade that isn't 8 years and that AAV likely isn't high enough for Dougie.

Thats a steal for MTL

No reason for Phi to do that

That's quite a haul for a sign-and-trade that doesn't leverage the 8 year option which is really the main purpose behind it..as a Canes fan I'd be very happy with that if they were moving on from Dougie but don't think it's realistic. Also believe that Dougie will want higher AAV if he's only getting 6 years, closer to 9M.

Don't think VAN would move the 9OA to move the last year of those guys. Never know with Benning but they might as well just be patient and hold onto them for a year or move them with a lower pick to different teams if they really want to use that space this year.
