Why would you pay to dump 2 contracts but have more than ample cap space to have them on the team? That doesn't make sense at all.
Also Laine has no place in the wings organization, but I know this is what you want so whatever.

DDK is in the final season of his contract and could retire after. With the amount of cap space Detroit has why in the world would they give up a 2nd to move DDK. Makes absolutely no sense.

Stecher is in the final season of his contract and it makes a lot more sense to trade him at the TDL. When you can get a better return and even teams with very little cap room can afford him.

I'm pretty sure CBJ says no. From Detroit's pov it doesn't make a whole lot of sense either. If Detroit is going to give that much it would be for a position they need like a center or LHD.

Neilson is in the final season of his contract and could retire after. With the amount of cap space Detroit has why in the world would they give up picks to move him. Makes absolutely no sense.

LMFAO We're not giving up a 2nd round pick to move one year of DDK, Besides it's doubtful that Buffalo is even on his trade list. And Stecher returns more then a 3rd round pick at least a mid 2nd round pick. And we're not giving up 2 picks to move Nielsens contract when we can just buy him out same can be said with DDK. Not giving up Bertuzzi and Erne for Patrik Laine the guys been garbage here lately. Giving Filip Hronek a 4 year deal is a no go that takes him up to free agency. He either gets a 3 year of a 6th 7th or 8 year deal nothing less.
